http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/uniformohs/ The students of Orange High School would like to state that we do not like the uniforms. Only in private schools are uniforms mandatory, and Orange High is not a private school. Being that our school is a public school, uniform is prohibiting us from our freedom of expression, which is given to us by the first amendment. I feel our rights as students are being violated by being forced to wear uniform. The goal the Board of Education tried to achieve by making uniforms mandatory did not succeed. The kids at Orange High School still have the same attitude towards the school. The kids are still openly symbolizing their gangs. Also, kids are still getting teased about what they have on, because instead of talking about how your jeans are not up to date they now talk about how your khakis are not up to date. This means class time is still being taken away from with the uniform policy in affect.
