An Urgent Appeal: Please Reinstate Windsor J. Leve...

Our friend Windsor J. Leveille was arrested and incarcerated at the
Camden County Jail from August 29th to September 20th. While we do
not know the complete details of the situation, we do know the
character of Windsor. Windsor is a compassionate and selfless person
who is always there for his friends. A determined student in good
standing at The Richard Stockton College of NJ since 1999, Windsor is
currently a Senor Psychology Major aspiring to be a Family Counselor.
Throughout the time that we have known him, Windsor has proven himself
to be nothing less than an honest, thoughtful and very dedicated
person. Going out of his way to help others, Windsor is always doing
for others without wanting or expecting anything in return because he
believes that is what he was born to do.

As for his current situation, we know the following. First, we
understand that when the situation first arose that Windsor was
granted an opportunity of resolving the issue by being placed in the
PTI Program because he had no prior criminal record, and to our
knowledge that is still the case. Second, we also know that Windsor
was actively doing all that he could to complete the program based on
the conditions set forth by the coordinator of the program. Third, we
have come to find out that he was failed out of the program for
failing to report to probation and only for that reason. Lastly, as
we understand it the letter that was to inform Windsor of where to
report to probation never got to him due to issues with the addressing
of the letter and not due to Windsor giving false information of where
he was going to be living.

While we understand that a crime has been committed and that there
should be consequences, we feel that Windsor has been wrongfully
deprived of the opportunity to resolve the issue by being failed out
of the program through no fault of his own. As previously mentioned,
we know Windsor to be an honest and upright person and therefore, we
do not believe that Windsor would have deliberately disregarded such
an important letter had he actually received it. At this juncture, we
are not asking that the crime be overlooked although that would be
ideal, but we are asking that serious consideration would be given to
the aforementioned testaments of Windsor's character and the fact that
till this day Windsor still is not aware of the contents of the
letter. It is with that knowledge of the circumstances that we are
petitioning on his behalf.

As concerned friends, we appeal to the powers that be to consider
reinstating Windsor into the PTI Program and allowing him the
opportunity to prove once and for all that he is a person of great
character who would not knowingly break a contract especially if it
was created to benefit him. We further ask all those who would be
involved in given consideration to our appeal/petition will do so with
an open mind and without bias of the circumstances.

Windsor is a good friend of mine. Any problem that a person may have throughout his/her life can always count on going to Windsor for his advice and input. Windsor has helped me through alot the past year and I can honestly say that if ANYONE deserves PTI, it should be him!!! =)
